No, we strongly discourage mounting pergolas onto patio pavers. Not only that patio pavers are not secure enough, but they can also move the pergola over a period of time. Most importantly, bolt down brackets are reasonably recommended to be installed or mounted to a wood deck or a concrete slab patio. But you could lift some pavers and put in solid footings and then install the pergola.
Yes, it is. Pergolas, once installed, will suggestively have a minor degree of movement because its steel and timber will naturally flex. Compared to surface mounted pergolas, in ground pergolas will have the smallest amount of movement.
Yes, installing a pergola on a wood deck is possible. But doing so will need bolt down brackets that should be correctly secured under the deck.
